Canterbury Duck Race 2011

This year’s duck race is now over, and there was a good turn out from both local people and companies.  A great time was had by all including the numerous spectators that were relaxed in the sunshine whilst watching the river of  yellow and red plastic ducks float down to the finish line.  The race, which is arranged by the Canterbury Rotary Club, raised over £5000 which will go towards  local charities and student bursaries.

Pictures to come.

Canterbury Duck Race

It is that time of year again when, when part of the river Stour in Canterbury is flooded by a stream of plastic ducks.  The annual event is organized by the Canterbury Rotary club and raises money for charity.  First duck to the end of the course gets £250.  For more details about the race can be found at the Canterbury Rotary club website.
